How to Size your Belt
1. **Determine the Fit:** Place the belt through the buckle and keeper as you normally would, and pull it through until it's the correct, comfortable fit around your waist.
2. **Measure the Tail:** While the belt is still on, measure the length of the tail (the portion that extends past the keeper) from the tip of the tail to the keeper.
3. **Calculate the Excess:** If this measurement is greater than 18cm, the extra length is the amount you need to cut off from the buckle end of the belt. For example, if the measurement is 23cm, you need to cut off 5cm.
4. **Cut the Belt:** Take the belt out of the buckle by lifting the holder. Cut off the excess length you calculated in Step 3, and then re-insert the newly cut end back into the buckle and clamp the holder down.
Once you have done this, the remaining 18cm of tail should correctly center the ratchet section of the belt, allowing for expansion or contraction—depending on how well you enjoy the holidays!
